From April 23 to May 15, in Turin, on the occasion of the G7 Climate Summit, the CHANGE exhibition will come to life, curated by Ale Giorgini and Prof. Giovanni Villa, director of Palazzo Madama, and promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, in collaboration with the Connect4Climate program of the World Bank. This open-air exhibition will take place in the historic center of Turin, from Piazza Castello to Via Po and Corso Francia.
The project introduces the exhibition "Change! Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. The Po", which will open at Palazzo Madama on June 27 and remain open until January 13, 2025. The aim of the exhibition is to effectively, immediately, and accessibly tell the story of the climate crisis, taking visitors on a journey through artistic installations, masterpieces of painting and photography, videos, and documents that will delve into the topics in an emotional and engaging way.
CHANGE involves 20 Italian illustrators who have created works focused on climate crisis themes. These images serve as visual reflections by each artist.
My illustration is dedicated to Recycling.
Through a play of contrasts between filled and empty spaces, I depict the importance of recycling as a means of recovery, giving new life to what was once considered waste. The illustration itself embraces the value of reuse in its technique, having been created through a collage of recycled materials.
With this illustration, I won the gold medal
from the Society of Illustrators of New York in the institutional category!
