Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the floral window display I created for Swiss Corner on the occasion of Orticola 2024, the flower market exhibition in Milan. This year, Switzerland was the guest country, and the project was developed in collaboration with the Swiss Chamber and IED Milano. 🇨🇭
The glass was illustrated with acrylic paint, featuring two recurring elements of the Swiss landscape. Inside the window, there are nine flower sculptures made from paper and recycled materials, all based on botanical research of the Swiss territory. The colors of the installation are white and red, the same as the Swiss flag. The project adheres to the principles of sustainability and upcycling.
These flowers stand up metaphorically and literally, thanks to the invaluable contribution of Federico Porta.
