Never in my life would I have imagined winning a gold medal from an institution like the Society of Illustrators in New York.
I am beyond grateful and thrilled to share this wonderful news with you all: my illustration “New Life” has won the Institutional category in their global illustration competition! 🥇
Through the contrast of filled and empty spaces, I aim at highlight the importance of recycling to try and give new life to what was once waste. This illustration, created for the G7 Climate Summit and displayed in the exhibition “Change” hosted at Palazzo Madama in Turin, reflects the value of reuse not only in its message but also in its technique, as it was made using a collage of recycled materials.
A project created for the G7 Climate Summit, commissioned by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security in collaboration with the World Bank’s Connect4Climate program, hosted at Palazzo Madama in Turin.
I owe a huge thank you to @alegiorgini for trusting me with a part of this wonderful project, for which he and Giovanni Villa are the Art Directors.
Today I’m celebrating, but tomorrow I’ll be back to drawing! :-)
